About Licitop - how it works

Last updated: 16 July 2026

What Licitop is

Licitop is a free, multilingual search engine for European public procurement. We bring together tender notices from 22 official sources - the EU-level TED plus national and regional platforms from Germany, France, Spain, Poland, the Netherlands, Czechia, Romania, Greece, Finland, Portugal, Latvia, the United Kingdom, Norway, Ukraine, Switzerland, Moldova and Kosovo - into one place, in six languages. Instead of checking a dozen portals in a dozen formats, you run one search.

What we add to the official data

Every notice is normalized into a single structure: values are converted to euros using ECB reference rates, deadlines are unified, CPV sector codes are cleaned, and buyers and winning companies are matched across sources into browsable profiles. Notices in any language receive machine-assisted summaries in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Polish. On every tender page you will also find market context computed from our whole dataset - how the value compares to the sector average, the buyer's track record, and similar tenders open right now - analysis no single official portal can offer.

Where the data comes from

All data originates from official public-procurement publications, accessed through their documented open-data channels and APIs. The full list of sources with their licences is published in our legal notice. The index refreshes automatically every three hours; each tender page names its source and deep-links to the official notice.

What Licitop is not

Licitop is a discovery service, not an official register. Only the original notice on the official platform is legally binding - always verify deadlines, requirements and documents there before acting. We never charge suppliers to appear, and we do not alter the substance of any notice.

Who is behind it

Licitop is built and operated by Albert Rojo Mateu from Barcelona, Spain. Full operator details are in the legal notice, and you can reach us any time at hello@licitop.eu - corrections and suggestions are genuinely welcome.
