Description

This project comprises the comprehensive upgrade of marine electrical infrastructure at the Arklow Harbour South Quay network, involving the decommissioning of obsolete distribution equipment and the installation of a new, high-capacity electrical distribution system designed for robust, scalable performance and to allow additional outlets for fishing crew. The scope includes the potential removal of legacy cabling and the installation of marine-grade armoured wiring, new distribution boards, and weather-resistant electrical pedestals, all engineered to support both current operational demands and future multi-berth pontoon expansions. Furthermore, the architecture is specifically configured to integrate future prepaid metering technologies, ensuring a seamless, modern, and efficient utility network that meets the harbour's long-term growth requirements. Areas include: Distribution and Control Infrastructure, Cable Management and Wiring, Earthing and Safety Systems, Lighting Infrastructure and Safety Enhancement, and Pontoon Pedestals.
