Denmark – Security, fire-fighting, police and defence equipment – Acquisition of VHF/UHF Ground-Air-Ground Radios

The Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) is planning a future tender in connection with the acquisition of VHF/UHF Ground-Air-Ground Radios. In connection with the acquisition, DALO would like to enter into a dialogue with the market so DALO can obtain information about the possibilities and restrictions on the market. DALO has prepared a range of questions in this Request for Information (RFI), which DALO would like to gain information on. The Request for Information is available in Ethics. The Royal Danish Airforce, the Royal Danish Navy, and the Arctic Command are using VHF and UHF radios for tactical communication between ground-based personnel and personnel on air vehicles and ships. The planned acquisition of VHF/UHF Ground-Air-Ground Radios is to replace the current radios. The radios are managed and maintained in collaboration between the Danish Defence and the suppliers. Day-to-day management is performed by the Danish Defence including preventative maintenance and replacement of radios in the field if deemed necessary due to failure of a radio. A failed radio is typically shipped to the supplier for repair.
