Ireland – Administrative educational services – The provision of the services of an Education Specialist for Research Ireland.

Research Ireland requires the services of an Education Specialist, with suitable experiences and qualified resources, to undertake the tasks outlined below. 2.1 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS a) Assist Research Ireland in developing strategies and projects to further enhance the Research Ireland Education and Public Engagement programme within primary and post-primary education and in the context of the Irish Department of Education policy statement on STEM education. b) Have a comprehensive understanding of the Irish education system and access to key players within the Irish education system for consultative and support purposes. c) Support Research Ireland to collaborate and share best practice with organisations and government departments. This should include leveraging existing primary and post-primary STEM/STEAM programmes and projects (e.g. Engineers Ireland STEPS programme, Sustainable Energy Association of Ireland Schools Programme, Óide, Education Support Centres Ireland, Department of Education). d) Deliver annual reports assessing the efficacy and attendance of Curious Minds/ ESERO programmes and an annual DCN report that draws on information from each centres’ annual report.
