Iceland – IT services: consulting, software development, Internet and support – DPS Cloud Service, hosting and other related services - Termination

A decision has been made to terminate Dynamic Purchasing System no. 21447 concerning Cloud service, hosting and other related services. The Dynamic Purchasing System was originally established to simplify procurement relating to cloud services, hosting, and operations. Experience has shown that the system has not fulfilled its intended purpose of simplifying the procurement process for either contracting authorities or economic operators. Consequently, a decision has been made to discontinue the system. At this time there are no plans to introduce a new system to replace the existing one. If a decision will be made to put in service a new and improved dynamic purchasing system, then that will be advertised in accordance with the rules of the Public Procurement Act no. 120/2016. Procurement will still be subject to tendering in an open procedure following the termination of DPS no. 21447, when applicable financial thresholds of public procurement have been reached. Participants are not required to take any specific action as a result of this decision. The decision takes effect today, 12th of February 2026, with this notification
