Norway – Construction work – Request for information (RFI) for new elevated reservoir Modum municipal waterworks

Modum kommune (MK) shall construct a new elevated basin by Skinstadveien. The total water volume will be in the area of 1500-2000 m3. We would like feedback from relevant contractors and suppliers before the competition is announced with this RFI - Request for information. MK would like feedback on possible solutions and products, as well as the price level of them and would like to assess adapting their tender documentation to the systems that the tenderers can actually offer. A total turnkey contract is tentatively planned to be announced in accordance with NS8407 for the entire assignment. The turnkey contract will i.a. include ground work, roads and spaces and water and sewage pipelines within the pool site, as well as complete pool(s) with pumps, valves, emergency power generators, toilet rooms and office/operational room. If the results of the market survey suggest, it may be considered to divide up the contract Elevated Basin Skinstadveien between ground work, building and basin, possibly other division. Modum municipality shall later procure a similar basin in Vestre part of Åmot. We would then like to use the most similar system as possible. Modum municipality shall also construct a new waterworks with a square concrete basin planned, approx. 500 m2 / 2500m3. This pool is planned as a part of the construction contract for the waterworks, E02 and will be connected to the waterworks building. Here it is interesting to have information on what can be delivered as suppliers or sub-suppliers to the contract. Flushing water tanks and a buffer tank for raw water have also been considered for the back-up water. The tanks are considered placed in the terrain, above the waterworks. Modum municipality would like information on what suppliers can offer solutions. In accordance with the Public Law and Public Administration Act, the Contracting Authority has a confidentiality obligation for information that constitutes business secrets or other confidential information (cf. the Public Disclosure Act § 13). This typically includes details of technical solutions, prices and products that are of competitive importance to secrecy. Such information can be exempted from the public. Tenderers are encouraged to label sensitive parts of the response clearly as "business secret", with a short justification for why the information should be shielded. Responses to this RFI will not obligate either the tenderer or MK as regards any later anskaffelse.MK have no obligation to hold a procurement even if a market survey is carried out.
