Building on previous work exploring career progression for home support workers, Leading Healthcare Providers (LHP) Skillnet has secured funding to investigate the current roles, responsibilities, and educational levels of Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) within Long term residential care settings. LHP Skillnet seeks to partner with a research organisation to undertake this project. This project aims to provide robust data to inform the design of a career progression pathway for HCAs, addressing inconsistencies in role definitions and qualifications across the sector.
