A MALDI-TOF system shall be procured for multiplex pharmacogenic genotyping for the Department of Pharmacology at Oslo University Hospital. The analysis instrument shall be able to carry out genotyping of a clinically relevant selection of pharmacogenetic variants, state special CYP2D6 gene lesions and duplications/multiplications, as well as some CYP2D6 genhybrides (compound genes). The analysis system must be able to use the manufacturer ́s ready designed panels, at the same time that self-designed analysis panels must be established for clinical use and/or research. The system must have a uniform protocol and workflow and have capacity that provides an expected laboratory engineering turnaround of 2 work days for analysing the specified pharmacogenic variation for up to 90 patient samples. The analysis system must have integrated user-friendly data acquisition software, interpretation, appraisal and reporting of analytical results. As far as the procurement project group is aware, there is only one supplier in the market who can offer the requested analyses, Agena Bioscience GmbH.
