Norway – Marine equipment – 25/02543 - Procurement - Intention notice - Purchase of low-frequency Acoustic Current Doppler Profilers

The Norwegian Institute of Marine Research intends to enter into a contract with Nortek AS for the delivery of low frequency profiling current meters, without a prior tender notice, cf. the Procurement Regulations (FOA) § 13-4 letter b no. 2. The agreement includes the delivery of three electricity meters with accompanying additional equipment, as well as access to the necessary spare parts, software and any service. The Institute of Marine Research has, after unsuccessfully completed competition (7368-2026 - Competition – TED), revealed that there is only one supplier in the market who can deliver the requested equipment by the deadline of April 30, 2026. The competition is therefore deemed 'impossible for technical reasons' and the conditions for making a procurement without a competition are fulfilled, cf. the Public Procurement Regulations § 13-4 letter b no. 2. An intention notice is published in accordance with PPR § 21-5. Any objections to the planned contract signing shall be sent to the Norwegian Institute of Marine Research by email to: sindre.almelid@hi.no This must be done within 10 calendar days from the day after the publication of the intention notice.
