The Norwegian Public Roads Administration (NPRA) has an increasing need for reliable, scaleable and sustainable alternative electricity supplies for roadside installations along the road network, where current electricity and networks are not currently adapted. Now the Norwegian Public Roads Administration invites tenderers to a dialogue to get input for systems. A significant number of locations with important technical installations lack access to landlines/230 V, or require stand-by/back-up power in connection with power cuts. Alternative electricity supplies shall enable the establishment and operation of critical systems for traffic safety, monitoring and information without costly and invasive infrastructure development. The aim is to establish systems that cover a wide range of power requirements, from small sensors to heavier monitoring systems at locations without existing infrastructure, where there is a lack of stable and flexible electricity supply. We would like a portfolio of systems that cover a broad effect span, with integrated monitoring/notification and standardised API for condition data, and that can be adapted to Norwegian conditions year round.
